Cutting Implement 003

Sale Price:$678.00 Original Price:$789.00
sale

This cutting implement is asymmetrically forged and ground for a right handed user. your left hand knuckles will rest against a smooth & slightly convex ground face while food will struggle to stick to the relief hand forged and highly textured surface on the right hand side of the knife. Knife has a flat edge along the first 2/3 with substantial rock on the front 1/3. The white Wenge handle and the segmented green linen micarta ferule is of takedown design and each segment can be disassembled with torx screw. Wenge was a remnant from when I restored things on my youtube channel and was intended to be used for a axe handle for a Japanese axe head.

My knives are intended to be used daily in the kitchen and if for any reason they break under normal use I will repair or replace at no cost to the user. As these knives are extremely hard and thin they should be handled with the same care as a Japanese knife

Steel: 26C3

HRC: 61 HRC calculated based on heat treating schedule and steel composition

Edge Length: 207 mm (8.25”)

Thickness at Ricasso: 3.67 mm (0.144”)

Thickness at Tip Break: 1.66mm (0.065”)

Height at Heel: 56 mm (2.1”)
